About Me

I am a mathematician specializing in numerical analysis, partial differential equations, and scientific machine learning. My research focuses on developing efficient numerical methods for wave phenomena and the mathematical foundations of metamaterials. I completed my doctorate at the University of Tübingen, where my work was part of the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1173, focusing on time-dependent boundary integral equations for wave scattering problems. Following the completion of my doctorate degree, I worked as a postdoc at the Seminar of Applied Mathematics (SAM) at ETH Zürich, where I further explored effective numerical methods for wave propagation phenomena, as well as inverse scattering in the context of time-domain data. Recently, I have contributed towards the development and analysis of discretizations based on unstructured parametrizations, including neural networks, for time-dependent partial differential equations. In October of 2025, I then moved to a second postdoc position at the University of Geneva, where I continued this work and further started working on domain decomposition methods, as well as time-parallel time stepping methods. Since August of 2026, I moved to the University of Birmingham as an Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics.
